Save The Bay’s annual Taste of The Bay event showcases 40+ local food and drink vendors, a celebration of the flavors, sights and sounds of Narragansett Bay

PROVIDENCE, RI – May 28, 2024 – On Thursday, June 20, Save The Bay’s annual Taste of The Bay fundraiser will highlight the flavors, sights and sounds of Narragansett Bay. The event, which follows Save The Bay’s annual meeting at 5:30 p.m., takes place from 7-9 p.m. at the organization’s coastal Bay Center headquarters in Providence. Attendees will enjoy tastings of locally created, grown and harvested food and beverages from restaurants, fishermen, bakeries, breweries and caterers, as well as live music and a raffle. Taste of the Bay is a 21+ event.

“Narragansett Bay shines in the summertime, but it is a year-round effort to protect, restore, and advocate for the Ocean State’s most valuable resource,” said Save The Bay Events Manager Leanne Danielsen. “Taste of the Bay is an evening to celebrate that hard work, and to support the local organizations who create and harvest products here in Rhode Island. We welcome you to join us as our guest, and thank you for your support of Save The Bay.”

Music by “Fat Free Bob” Tomassone sets the tempo for a night of celebration with chances to win a raffle featuring gift baskets filled with gift cards donated by local restaurants, venues, and businesses. Rain or shine, you’ll have a great time!

“Save the Bay is one of, if not the most, important organizations to Rhode Island,” said Providence based Moniker Brewery owner Bryan Benedict. “Their mission directly affects the livelihood and health of over a million people. If we can help them succeed, Rhode Island becomes a better place to live, work and own a business.”

“Narragansett Bay is Rhode Island’s most unique and important feature, said Perry Raso, owner of Matunuck Oyster Bar, a long-time supporter of Taste of the Bay. “By helping to protect the Bay, Save The Bay is helping Rhode Island’s marine ecosystems and our fisheries.”
